High-speed doors are essential in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring swift access and seamless workflows. In this guide, we’ll explore the importance of regular maintenance provided by Premier Door Systems for durable and reliable EFAFLEX high-speed doors.
Why Maintenance is Essential
To keep your high-speed door working well, it’s important to service it regularly. This helps avoid problems from wear and tear, saving you money in the long run. Our service team can give you personalised maintenance options that suit your needs. Regular servicing not only prevents wear-related issues but also keeps your door reliable and working smoothly for a longer time.
Preventive Maintenance
Preventive maintenance involves scheduled inspections to address issues before they escalate, optimising commercial doors for safety and hygiene compliance. Proactive measures, including timely part replacements, ensure smooth operation, preventing unexpected breakdowns and disruptions.
A ‘Run-to-Death’ mindset not only causes significant defects and higher costs later on but also jeopardises the safety of the door system, potentially risking operator injury.
Other Essential Tips to Independently Maintain and Prolong the Life of High-Speed Doors:
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the door and components free from dust and debris to prevent premature wear and maintain smooth operation.
- Lubrication: Apply lubricant to moving parts like rollers, hinges, and tracks for optimal functioning, preventing unnecessary wear and tear.
- Visual Inspections: Conduct visual checks for damage or wear, including loose bolts, misaligned tracks, or damaged weather seals. Early detection enables timely intervention.
- Sensor Calibration: Ensure correct calibration for sensors in your high-speed door. Proper alignment is crucial for safety, preventing unexpected closures.
- Moisture and Rust Prevention: Inspect metal components for moisture and rust. Wipe surfaces, apply a rust inhibitor to prevent corrosion, ensuring long-term durability.
