This phrase became the unofficial slogan of the US Marines after it featured in the film Heartbreak Ridge (1986), starring Clint Eastwood. Premier Door Systems certainly adopted that motto, when one of Australia’s leading retail property groups who manage 66 shopping centres across Australia, engaged Premier Door Systems to provide an access solution to a loading dock at a busy shopping complex in Box Hill, Melbourne.
Requiring a design that included automation, security and specialized features, Premier was faced with additional challenges of limited space, operational requirements, and not to mention incorporating the loading docks meat rail!
To provide a solution, Premier was able to:
Improvise the design of the door to be automated with both Swing and Sliding motorization. This compensated for the lack of space in the loading area, whilst allowing for the incorporation of a cut out in the sliding panel to receive and seal around the meat rail.
Adapt componentry of its PremIMPACT traffic door model to provide a door that was robust for the application with, aluminium housings, strong ABS surfaces and vision windows.
Overcome installation obstacles to provide a finish that both looked good, and functioned well!
The door featured:
- Both Swing and Sliding Automation.
- Keypad and FOB access control.
- Enhanced Safety through Light Curtain Grid.
- Door leaf of ABS surface, with insulated core.
- Cut-out with brush seal to accept meat rail.
