Foodworks FaceliftFoodworks Supermarket in the regional Victorian town of Buninyong moved into their NEW premises in mid-2012 and now boasts an increased range of traditional grocery items, a large gourmet selection, a carefully selected gluten free range, and a selection of local meats.

In the original design and construction of the supermarket, the access from the back of house to store floor was separated by a custom made wooden swing door with heavy duty hinges and rubber buffers fixed to the door face. Due to the weight of the wooden door leafs and the high level of traffic and equipment brought through the only access to the store, this door did not cope with the environment and the hinges were broken, and panels damaged.

Premier Door Systems were consulted and asked to provide a solution that would be suitable for the application. Premier proposed the PremIMPACT – High Impact Thermal Traffic Door featuring 900mm High Tear Drop shaped impact buffers, along with a specifically designed impact strip at a pre-determined height to compensate for specialized equipment that is brought through the door.

The PremIMPACT features a heavy duty spring mechanism for automatic closing, light weight insulated ABS panels, and top and bottom fixing points which allow the door to pivot freely and eliminate any weight bear on the side of the opening and frame work. Windows in the door panels also allow for safe two-way vision.
