The ambulance bay of any medical facility needs increased security and safety for the hospital staff and ambulance drivers. This is why in a recent project with ARTAS Architects and VOS Construction, Premier Door Systems installed EFAFLEX-SST High-Speed Doors to ensure seamless operations at Launceston General Hospital’s ambulance bay. Through a rigorous design process, they ensured operating requirements were met, whilst providing a solution that was able to fit in with the existing structure and clearances of the building.
Premier was able to nominate the SST-S Oval Spiral configuration, which was able to be installed with limited head clearance, whilst maintaining the minimum clear opening requirement of the client of 7000W x 3400H.
It was critical that an opening height of 3400mm was achieved.
